Job summary

Frontier Services in Australia is seeking a results-driven fundraiser to lead a passionate team, engage with our existing supporter base, and expand into new areas.

The role oversees fundraising projects and the fundraising team, drives revenue growth in line with the organisation's strategic objectives, and leads the fundraising strategy and implementation. You will report to the National Director and collaborate across teams to deliver impact.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' relevant fundraising experience, with proven ability to increase revenue and secure major gifts.
  • Proven ability to analyse data, with a sound understanding of fundraising theory, data trends and the not-for-profit sector.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and the ability to translate strategy into outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels and manage staff.

Responsibilities

  • Continuous improvement and implementation of the strategic fundraising plan in line with the Frontier Services Strategic Plan.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, donors and volunteers.
  • Acquisition and donor development.
  • Corporate Partnerships and Trusts & Foundations.
  • Lead and manage the Fundraising Team, managing performance and ensuring appropriate training, support and recognition of staff.
  • Promote continual innovation, improvement and best practice fundraising programs.
  • Work with the National Marketing Manager for all external and internal fundraising communications.
  • Work cross-functionally with the National Operations and Programs Manager.
  • Develop annual fundraising budget. Responsible for achieving the fundraising objectives and delivery of budget surplus.
  • Ability to analyse and implement data insights.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant government legislation and industry guidelines.
  • Congregation support - including creation and distribution of engagement resources.

Your Next Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a results-driven fundraiser to lead a passionate team to engage with our amazing existing supporter base and expand into new areas.

The role overseesandmanagesfundraising projects, the fundraising team and grow fundraising revenue in line with the strategicobjectivesof Frontier Services. This role will lead the fundraising strategy and implementation to meet the needs and vision of Frontier Services and the John Flynn Foundation.

The role is a part of the Leadership Team and reports directly to the National Director of Frontier Services.

Key areas of responsibility include:

About You
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Minimum 3 years' relevant fundraising experience, with a proven ability to increase fundraising revenue and secure major gifts
  • Proven ability to analyse data, with a sound understanding of fundraising theory, data trends and the not-for-profit sector
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and the ability to translate strategy into outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Previous experience in managing staff
  • Experience in budget management and forecasting
  • High level proficiency in contemporary communication technology, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Consultative manner and a commitment to a team-based approach with a demonstrated ability to work as part of a close-knit team
  • Willingness and ability to travel

Desirable:

  • An understanding of the Uniting Church, its ethos and structure
  • Familiarity with/understanding of the social, environmental,politicaland spiritual landscape, including the challenges and opportunities of regional and remote Australia
  • Qualifications in a relevant discipline
