Job summary

Sharp and Carter is seeking a seasoned Head of Employee and Industrial Relations to spearhead the national ER/IR advisory service and set the strategy for workforce governance. You will lead cross-functional teams, partner with operational leaders, and drive commercially sound advice across a diverse, multi-site workforce.

You will bring extensive senior ER/IR experience, a strong grasp of the Fair Work Act, and a proven track record in enterprise bargaining and unions engagement, delivering

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law or a related discipline.
• Extensive senior experience in employee and industrial relations within large multi-site environments.
• Proven ability to lead enterprise bargaining and engage with unions.
• Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act, modern awards and enterprise agreements.
• Experience developing national ER policies, templates and governance standards.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and coaching capability.

Responsibilities

• Leading the national ER and IR advisory service, setting priorities and governance.
• Developing and owning the national ER strategy and service model.
• Providing specialist advice on investigations, grievances, disciplinary and performance processes.
• Advising on enterprise bargaining and industrial disputes and supporting negotiations.
• Guiding preparation for matters before commissions, tribunals and courts.
• Monitoring legislative changes and translating them into policy updates.
• Developing national ER policies, procedures, templates and case management standards.
• Building capability of operational leaders and People Partners through coaching.
• Partnering with Legal, HSQE and Operations on psychosocial hazards and organisational change.
