Job summary

John Holland is seeking an Engineering Assurance Manager to lead assurance across tenders and live projects. You will coordinate internal resources, SMEs, and external partners to ensure fit-for-purpose, cost-effective technical solutions aligned with client needs.

You will drive risk-based decision making, support tender development and project mobilisation, and establish KPI-driven assurance across multiple programs, enabling safe and high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Requires tertiary engineering degree with professional registration and Chartered Engineer status.
• Proven track record delivering engineering solutions across tenders and major projects.
• Strong balance of technical know-how, risk, value and schedule implications.
• Experience guiding design, procurement and construction in complex environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication across teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering assurance process across tenders and projects, monitoring progress and risks.
• Coordinate reviews with SMEs and external partners to validate solutions and drive improvements.
• Support planning and delivery of safe, sustainable and commercially sound technical solutions.
• Establish and monitor assurance, compliance and reporting processes and KPIs.
• Identify requirements, resourcing needs and risks for tender development and delivery.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and performance reporting for Engineering Assurance.
