Job summary

WSP is seeking an Aviation Planning Lead to shape strategy, grow national aviation planning capabilities, and strengthen client relationships across Australia.

You will lead multi‑disciplinary teams across planning, engineering and advisory, drive growth with airport operators and government partners, and oversee major pursuits.

The role is national in scope, based in any Australian office, with a focus on technical excellence, accountability and delivering integrated aviation solutions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of aviation planning or related consulting experience.
• Deep knowledge of airport planning, forecasting, and master planning.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams on complex aviation projects.
• Established aviation sector relationships and growth strategy execution.
• Bachelor's degree with professional accreditation; postgraduate study preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the national Aviation Planning growth strategy.
• Identify and secure strategic opportunities with airport, government and private sector clients.
• Build trusted relationships with airport executives, aviation authorities and investors.
• Lead capability development, workforce growth and recruitment for aviation planning.
• Drive technical excellence and innovation across aviation master planning, forecasting, and implementation.
