Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a degree in music/instrumental education, or equivalent industry experience is required.
• Experience in teaching Primary School aged students considered an advantage.
• Must hold, or be willing to obtain registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching, or a valid Employee Working with Children Check.

Melbourne Grammar School, Grimwade House (Prep – Year 6) is seeking a Music Tutor - Oboe & Basson to teach individual instrumental lessons, conduct Ensemble and assist with concert bands. The Oboe & Basson Music Tutor will work as a member of a highly dedicated Music Department, teaching students in an individual setting and through ensembles.

This role commences in 2027 and will involve sufficient work for 0.5 days a week initially.

• Support the Teacher in Charge with teaching repertoire and lessons.
