Rocksteady Music School is seeking a School Performance Representative in Melbourne. The role involves bringing live music to primary-aged children, delivering workshops in schools, and inspiring a lifelong love of music.

You'll perform on stage, engage with principals and teachers, travel across Melbourne, and represent our program with warmth and a consultative approach. This full-time, permanent position includes a discretionary bonus and generous holidays.

Qualifications

• Excellent performance skills with ability to play and sing simultaneously.
• Multi-instrumental on at least three of drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children and adults.
• Dynamic, confident and approachable.
• Passion for performing and public speaking.
• Personable, people-focused attitude.
• Sales experience is preferred, but not essential (training provided).
• Ability to work independently.
• Full Australian driver license and own vehicle.

Responsabilités

Music School Performance Representative

Salary: $72,000 - $82,000pa + Superannuation

Company Bonus Scheme: Discretionary company bonus of up to $3000 per annum

Job Type: This is a full time, permanent role. Applicants must have working rights for the duration of the role. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer Visa Sponsorship for this role.

Location: Various locations across Melbourne, VIC

Job Start Date: 18th January 2027

Process: This role has a four stage recruitment process. Stage 1: Application Form Stage 2: Video Interview Stage 3: Group Assessment Day - 16th November 2026. Stage 4: Final Stage Observation taking place at the end of November.

About the role

As a School Performance Representative, you’ll be the face and voice of our music program, bringing live music to the lives of primary-aged kids across Melbourne. You’ll be engaging young audiences, creating unforgettable first experiences of live performance, and sparking a lifelong love of music. Every day you’ll step into the shoes of that person who first inspired you to pick up an instrument.

We are looking for someone who enjoys engaging with kids, is great on the stage, passionate about music, and wants to make a genuine impact. You'll be the friendly face that inspires the next generation of rock and pop artists.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver music incursions and workshops in primary schools across Melbourne

• Perform daily in front of the most energised and captivating audience in the world - children
• Build genuine relationships with principals, music coordinators and teachers to introduce our program and secure school participation
• Confidently represent our music education offering, communicating its value in a friendly, consultative way (no high-pressure selling)
• Ensure a smooth experience for new schools starting our lessons
• This role will require you to travel to different schools across the whole of Melbourne every day
