Primary Harvest in Glossodia, NSW, is hiring casual mushroom harvesters to join a 364-days-a-year operation. Training provided over 3 months, with detailed instructions, teamwork, and strict WH&S protocols to ensure safety and quality.

Roles involve harvesting mushrooms from climate-controlled beds, following procedures, and rotating on a 7-day roster on a fully air-conditioned farm. No prior experience required—on-the-job training and routine assessments help you build skills.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Overview As a family owned and operated primary producer running out of the Hawkesbury for more than 30 years. We are a leading producer of premium quality mushrooms which are shipped Australia wide.

• Harvesting various levels of mushroom beds to fulfill the daily product order.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a team setting.
• Attention to detail, following relevant WH&S protocol to help enforce a safe working environment.
• Experience is not necessary as successful applicants will receive 3 months of detailed training with our dedicated mushroom picking trainers.
• Routine assessments will be given to develop your skills.
• Working on our 7 day rotating roster within our fully air conditioned mushroom farm in Glossodia.

As mushrooms are grown in climate controlled growing rooms, we do not have picking seasons like other agricultural businesses. This provides ongoing work for our staff as we operate 364 days a year. We have approximately 30 mushroom harvesting positions to fill.
