Job summary

Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking a Municipal Waste Officer to join the team at the Shepparton Resource Recovery Centre and nearby facilities. The role covers load assessment, landfill monitoring, cash handling and related duties within a full-time capacity.

You may work across Shepparton, Murchison, Ardmona Resource Recovery Centres and Cosgrove Landfill, with shifts per roster including weekends and public holidays. A 6-month qualifying period applies and training will be provided.

Greater Shepparton City Council, situated in the heart of the Goulburn Valley, is the fifth largest provincial centre in Victoria and has a well-developed economy due to its strong agricultural and irrigation base, with major industries related to food processing, manufacturing, transport and health care. Municipal Waste Officer

Salary: $70,792.28 per annum (plus industry allowance)

Council is currently seeking applications from a driven and dedicated individual to join a team of Municipal Waste Officers to assist at Council's Resource Recovery Centres and Landfill in a full-time capacity. Whilst the position is primarily at the Shepparton Resource Recovery Centre, the successful applicant should be prepared to work across Shepparton, Murchison and Ardmona Resource Recovery Centres and Cosgrove Landfill.

This role is responsible for assisting with duties at the Resource Recovery Centres and Landfill including assessment of loads, landfill monitoring, cash handling, clean up duties any other duties that may be required.

Hours of employment will be as per a roster and may include weekend work and public holidays.
