Job summary

Juniper Gerdewoonem in Kununurra, WA seeks a Multiskilled Domestic Team Member to support residents across cleaning, laundry and catering in a warm, homely aged care home. The role rotates through duties to maintain high cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort for residents.

You will work closely with care and hospitality teams to deliver safe, dignified, and respectful service, while following infection control guidelines and health and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, catering, and laundry services (aged care or healthcare preferred).
• Knowledge of hygiene standards and infection control.
• Food Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain (preferred).
• Passionate about helping older people live with dignity and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning: keep residents' rooms and common areas spotless (vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitizing).
• Laundry: wash, dry, iron, and return personal and facility laundry with infection control in mind.
• Catering: assist in preparing and serving meals, setting tables, and ensuring meals meet dietary needs.
• Teamwork: collaborate with care and hospitality staff to ensure residents feel respected and at home.
• Safety: follow WHS and infection control guidelines at all times.

About the role:

Juniper is seeking caring and reliable Multiskilled Domestic Team Member to join our dedicated team at Juniper Gerdewoonem, our warm and welcoming residential aged care home in Kununurra.

This hands on, people focused role rotates between cleaning, laundry, and catering duties to help create a safe, comfortable, and homely environment for our residents. Working closely with our care and hospitality teams, you will ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, assist with meal preparation and service, and contribute to residents’ overall comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning: Keep residents’ rooms and common areas spotless, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing high touch surfaces.
• Laundry: Wash, dry, iron, and return personal and facility laundry while following infection control procedures.

• Safety: Follow workplace health, safety, and infection control guidelines at all times.

Key Requirements:

• Experience in cleaning, catering, & laundry services (aged care or healthcare preferred)
• Knowledge of hygiene standards, food safety, and infection control (desirable)
• Food Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain (preferred)
• Passionate about helping older people live with dignity and comfort
• Physically fit to meet the demands of the role
• Flexible to work across cleaning, laundry, and catering duties
• A great communicator who can build rapport with residents and colleagues
