Job summary

Juniper is seeking a Multiskilled Domestic Team Member to join our warm residential aged care home in Kununurra, WA. The role rotates between cleaning, laundry and catering to create a safe, comfortable environment for residents.

You will work with care and hospitality teams to ensure high hygiene standards, assist with meals, and support residents' dignity and wellbeing. Salary packaging and health discounts are among the benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, catering or laundry in aged care or healthcare preferred.
• Knowledge of hygiene standards, food safety, and infection control desirable.
• Food Handling Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning: keep residents' rooms and common areas spotless, vacuum, mop, dust and sanitize surfaces.
• Laundry: wash, dry, iron and return personal and facility laundry with infection control in mind.
• Catering: assist in meal prep and service, set tables and meet residents' dietary needs.
• Teamwork: collaborate with care and hospitality staff to keep residents comfortable and respected.
• Safety: follow workplace health, safety, and infection control guidelines at all times.

About the role:

Juniper is seeking caring and reliable Multiskilled Domestic Team Member to join our dedicated team at Juniper Gerdewoonem, our warm and welcoming residential aged care home in Kununurra.

This hands on, people focused role rotates between cleaning, laundry, and catering duties to help create a safe, comfortable, and homely environment for our residents. Working closely with our care and hospitality teams, you will ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, assist with meal preparation and service, and contribute to residents’ overall comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning: Keep residents’ rooms and common areas spotless, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing high touch surfaces.
• Laundry: Wash, dry, iron, and return personal and facility laundry while following infection control procedures.
• Catering: Assist in preparing and serving meals, setting tables, and ensuring meals meet residents’ dietary needs.
• Teamwork: Work collaboratively with care and hospitality staff to ensure residents feel respected, valued, and at home.
• Safety: Follow workplace health, safety, and infection control guidelines at all times.

Key Requirements:

• Experience in cleaning, catering, & laundry services (aged care or healthcare preferred)
• Knowledge of hygiene standards, food safety, and infection control (desirable)
• Food Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain (preferred)
• Passionate about helping older people live with dignity and comfort
• Physically fit to meet the demands of the role
• Flexible to work across cleaning, laundry, and catering duties
• A great communicator who can build rapport with residents and colleagues
