Austal is recruiting multiple skilled tradespeople for a major defence shipbuilding program in Henderson, WA. We are hiring Boilermakers, Tube Fitters, Mechanical Fitters and Plumbers for long-term roles with ongoing training and a family-friendly Monday to Thursday roster.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate in relevant discipline required or highly regarded.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Team oriented with ability to work in a collaborative shipbuilding environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication, fit-out, installation and assembly of shipbuilding components.
• Working from drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Installation and maintenance of piping, mechanical and structural systems.
• Welding, fitting and general trade-based activities relevant to your discipline.
• Working safely within a collaborative shipbuilding environment.
• Contributing to the successful delivery of major defence projects.

You’ll Need

• Eligibility to obtain a Defence Security Clearance
