Job summary

Jardan Australia is seeking a Multimedia Designer to create digital media across website, product configurator, campaigns, catalogues and social channels. Work spans stills, video, interactive content and 3D visualisation, from concept to finished product.

The role is based onsite at our Scoresby HQ, collaborating with Brand, Marketing, Product and E‑Commerce teams. You will develop concepts, design photoreal imagery and motion content, and build/maintain 3D models and digital libraries,

Qualifications

• A portfolio that demonstrates your thinking, ideas and creative process through to the finished product.
• Confidence with 3D modelling and rendering (3ds Max, Blender, Cinema 4D, V-Ray, Corona or similar) and with Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Confident working with CAD data and translating it for visualisation. Familiarity with Rhino, AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks or similar software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Translate briefs from Brand, Marketing, Product and E‑commerce into digital media concepts.
• Develop concepts through sketches, storyboards and layouts and present them for feedback.
• Design and produce content for web, campaigns, catalogue and social use including photorealistic imagery, 3D visualisation, animation and interactive pieces.
• Design how customers see and move through the online product configurator and present materials, finishes and options.
• Build and maintain 3D models and digital libraries from CAD data for visualisation.
• Prepare assets for web and real-time use, including UV mapping and texture development.
• Document finished work and keep the asset library organised.
• Follow emerging digital media trends and 3D techniques and share ideas with the team.

In operation since 1987, every Jardan piece is researched, designed, crafted and assembled at our Production site in Melbourne, retaining skills whilst focusing on a premium made to order process bound by sustainability and quality.

What we are looking for:

As the Multimedia designer you will be responsible for producing the digital media across our website, product configurator, campaigns, catalogues and social channels. This role spans still and moving image, video, interactive content and 3D visualisation. This is a design-led role, taking a brief from concept through to finished product.

The role is based onsite at our HQ in Scoresby.

What the role entails:

• Take briefs from our Brand, Marketing, Product and E-Commerce teams and translate them into digital media concepts.
• Develop concepts through sketches, storyboards and layouts, then present them for feedback.
• Design and produce content for web, campaign, catalogue and social use, including photorealistic product imagery, spatial visualisation, animation, motion graphics, short-form video and interactive pieces.
• Design how customers see and move through our online product configurator, including the way materials, finishes and options are presented.
• Build and maintain the 3D models and digital material libraries behind that content, working from CAD data supplied by our Design and Engineering teams and preparing that geometry for visualisation.
• Prepare and optimise assets for web and real-time use, including mesh preparation, UV mapping and texture development.
• Document finished work and keep the digital asset library organised and reusable.
• Follow emerging digital media trends and 3D techniques and bring ideas back to the team.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A portfolio that demonstrates your thinking, ideas and creative process through to the finished product
• Confidence with 3D modelling and rendering (3ds Max, Blender, Cinema 4D, V-Ray, Corona or similar) and with Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Confident working with CAD data and translating it for visualisation. Familiarity with Rhino, AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks or similar software is an advantage.
