Job summary

Whitehaven Coal operates the Blackwater Mine in the Bowen Basin and is seeking experienced operators for a 7/7 day-shift roster. You will maintain haul roads, intersections and ramps, ensuring all work aligns with SHMS requirements and site procedures.

We value safety, teamwork and reliability, with recognition through the STRIVE initiative and benefits including parental leave and referrals program. Experience in mining equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain haul roads, intersections, ramps and access areas in line with SHMS requirements.
• Report to Coal Team Coordinators and support safety and efficiency on site.
• Operate equipment as required (listed in job scope) and ensure proper housekeeping.

About Blackwater Mine:

Blackwater is one of the region's most significant coal operations — a site with scale, momentum, and a strong future. The mine plays a major role in supplying high‑quality coal to domestic and international markets, and every shift contributes directly to meeting production targets.

Working a 7/7 day-shift-only roster, you will report to the Coal Team Coordinators and be responsible for maintaining haul roads, intersections, ramps and access areas in line with site SHMS requirements.
