Job summary

In Focus Radiology is seeking a full-time MRI Radiographer to join our Newcastle and Hunter-based MRI team. We welcome candidates at varying career stages who are eager to develop skills in a supportive imaging network.

You will perform a broad range of MRI examinations, collaborate with radiologists, ensure MRI safety, and contribute to ongoing education and service development.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised Medical Radiation Science (Medical Imaging) qualification.
• Current AHPRA registration and NSW EPA Radiation User Licence are required.
• MRI experience appropriate to your career level.
• Commitment to MRI safety and high-quality imaging.
• Patient-focused approach with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally.

Responsibilities

• Performing a broad range of MRI examinations with high image quality and patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Performing a broad range of MRI examinations while maintaining excellent image quality and patient care
• Working closely with our radiologists and MRI team to optimise examinations and protocols
• Ensuring MRI safety procedures and screening requirements are consistently followed
• Providing clear communication and reassurance to patients throughout their examination
• Participating in quality improvement, protocol development and ongoing education
• Contributing positively to the day-to-day operation and development of our MRI service
• Working collaboratively with radiographers, radiologists, administration and other modality teams

About you

• A recognised qualification in Medical Radiation Science (Medical Imaging) or equivalent
• Current AHPRA registration
• Current NSW EPA Radiation User Licence
