Job summary

Followmont Transport is seeking an MR Driver to join our Emerald team, servicing Emerald and surrounding areas with local pickups and deliveries of general freight and a strong focus on customer service.

The role offers full-time and casual opportunities, regular start times from 7:00am, and overtime/weekend work with weekly attendance allowances. You will work with a supportive team, receive ongoing training and have home every night.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current MR licence.
• Forklift licence advantageous but not essential.
• Previous driving or transport experience preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
• Able to pass medical, drug & alcohol screen and background checks.
• Reliable attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Complete local pickups and deliveries of general freight.
• Provide professional customer service at delivery locations.
• Complete pre-start checks, run sheets and delivery paperwork.
• Use PDAs and scanning technology to manage freight.
• Load, unload and secure freight safely.
• Follow safety, compliance and company procedures.

What You'll Be Doing

• Completing local pickups and deliveries of general freight
• Providing professional customer service at delivery locations
• Completing pre-start checks, run sheets and delivery paperwork
• Using PDAs and scanning technology to manage freight
• Loading, unloading and securing freight safely
• Following safety, compliance and company procedures

What You'll Need

• Current MR Licence
• Forklift Licence advantageous but not essential
• Previous driving or transport experience preferred
• Strong commitment to safety and customer service
• Ability to pass a medical, drug & alcohol screen and criminal history check
• Reliable attitude and strong work ethic
