Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a Software Engineer to advance automation and testing environments for the MQ-28 program in Brisbane. You will contribute to digital model ecosystems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated software solutions for autonomous, uncrewed aircraft.

The role requires at least 2 years in relevant fields, expertise in Python and Linux, and a proactive, problem-solving approach within Agile processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of industry experience in autonomous systems, robotics or related applications.
• Experience with messaging protocols, data exchange, data analysis and simulation tools.
• Australian Citizens with ability to obtain NV1 security clearance and meet defence requirements.

Software Engineer - MQ-28 Ghost BatThe OpportunityBoeing Defence Australia and the MQ-28 Program is seeking a Software Engineer to support continued development and automation of our digital test, integration and verification environments, enabling us to iterate faster and continuously deploy new capability to the aircraft. The MQ-28 is a first-of-type Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA), providing autonomous, uncrewed capabilities for the Australian warfighter.This role is based in Brisbane and will report into the MQ-28 Digital Model Ecosystem Engineering Manager.Essential Skills:Experience with Object-Oriented Design practices and familiarity with Python.Experience with Linux software development environments.Ability to respond to high level guidance to create a minimum viable product.Knowledge and experience in the application of Agile Software Development principles.A passion for problem solving and a willingness to learn within a dynamic environment.Practice good software engineering habits.
