Job summary

Australia Post in Launceston is seeking a Motorcycle Delivery Driver to start early each day, delivering mail and small parcels from the delivery centre. You’ll perform daily vehicle safety checks, load deliveries carefully, and ensure reliable, safe deliveries to homes and businesses.

You’ll be supported by Rider Mentors, with pathways into senior delivery or mentoring roles. This is a permanent full‑time role, Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm with occasional extra hours.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full or probationary motorcycle licence.
• Able to pass required riding assessments and meet safety standards (weighing 100kg or less).
• Flexible to work additional hours to support service outcomes.
• Reliable and detail‑focused, handling mail and parcels up to 16kg.

About the opportunity

In this role, you’ll begin each day early as part of a supportive delivery team, preparing mail and small parcels at the facility before heading out to deliver to homes and businesses. You’ll complete daily vehicle safety checks, load your deliveries with care, and carry out reliable deliveries, with safety and consistency guiding every step.

You’ll be supported by experienced Rider Mentors who provide hands‑on guidance and coaching, helping you build confidence, capability and consistency in the role. This opportunity suits someone who takes pride in delivering strong outcomes, values teamwork and safety, and is motivated to perform at their best every day while building skills for long‑term success.

This role is an permanent full time position working Monday to Friday, starting at 7:00am and finishing around 3:00pm with occasional additional hours

Pay rate is $33.64 per hour for the first three months and then moves to $38.47ph once fully trained + 12% super + 4 weeks leave accrued per year and other personal leave benefits
