Job summary

Australia Post is hiring a Rider for a hands-on delivery role, starting each day at the facility and delivering mail and parcels to homes and businesses. You’ll perform vehicle safety checks, load deliveries with care, and work within a supportive team guided by Rider Mentors to build confidence and skills.

This 12‑month Fixed Term, part‑time position runs Monday to Friday from 10:00am to 2:00pm. You’ll join a safety‑m first culture with opportunities for training, development and a clear path

Qualifications

• Hold a full or probationary motorcycle licence.
• Able to pass required riding assessments and meet safety standards (weighing 100Kg or less)
• Flexible to work additional hours to support service outcomes.
• Reliable and detail‑focused, handling mail and parcels up to 16kg.
• Keen to learn and grow, with pathways into senior delivery or mentoring roles.

Responsibilities

• Begin daily by preparing mail and small parcels at the facility and deliver to homes and businesses.
• Complete daily vehicle safety checks and load deliveries with care.
• Carry out reliable and safe deliveries with a focus on safety and consistency.
• Be mentored by Rider Mentors to build confidence and skills.

About the opportunity

In this role, you’ll begin each day early as part of a supportive delivery team, preparing mail and small parcels at the facility before heading out to deliver to homes and businesses. You’ll complete daily vehicle safety checks, load your deliveries with care, and carry out reliable deliveries, with safety and consistency guiding every step.

You’ll be supported by experienced Rider Mentors who provide hands‑on guidance and coaching, helping you build confidence, capability and consistency in the role.
