As a Technical Trainer, you will be part of the National Technical Training Team, responsible for the delivery of the technical training requirements to the Motor Assessing role to ensure that we develop market-leading cost and service capabilities in the delivery of motor assessing assessment processes, and ensure successful achievement of the company’s corporate goals. Additional responsibilities of this role are to deliver additional training to further enhance our assessing capability through mentoring, coaching, and 1:1 training.
Position Accountabilities
- Deliver assessor training nationally in accordance to the business requirements from Induction through to advanced technical & soft skill training, including Code & State based legislative considerations.
- Incorporate blended learning approaches, leveraging our LMS digital platform.
- Optimise the Quality Framework Audit process to provide upskilling opportunities and recognise and target areas for improvement.
- Familiarity with estimating software systems, e.g. AudaNet, whilst applying all of Auto and Generals assessing processes.
- Drive comprehensive training capability via internal and external training resources
- Champion a culture of continuous learning.
- Occasional interstate travel may be required.
What experience you’ll bring
- Minimum 5 years in the insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the motor body repair industry, including the relationship between the insurance industry and the repair sector.
- Trade qualified as either a spray painter, panel beater or a minimum of 5 years experience as an assessor
- Experience in quoting accident-damaged vehicles
- Exceptional customer service insight and delivery
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning and organisational ability
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Training background or “Cert IV in Assessment and Training” (Not essential).
