Job summary

Bridgestone Service Centre Laurieton is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team in Laurieton, NSW 2443. This full-time position focuses on maintaining and repairing vehicles to high standards while delivering reliable customer service.

You''ll perform routine maintenance, diagnose faults, and conduct vehicle inspections, with welding/fabrication tasks as needed and a strong emphasis on safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Recognised automotive trade qualification or apprenticeship completed.
• Proven experience as Motor Mechanic in a service centre.
• Strong knowledge of engines, transmissions, electrical systems and suspension.
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and computer systems.
• Safe and accurate use of hand and power tools.
• Valid driver''s licence and ability to test drive vehicles.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Familiarity with tyre services (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks and tyre rotations.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Repair/replace engines, transmissions, suspension and braking systems.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and provide customers with reports on mechanical condition and recommended repairs.
• Perform welding and fabrication work as required.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with regulations and company standards.
• Liaise with customers to explain repair work and discuss maintenance options.
• Keep work areas clean, organised and safe at all times.
