Overview

Join the Mountain View Crematoria Team – Mortuary Transport Assistant. Are you reliable, respectful, and calm under pressure — but also have a good sense of humour and enjoy working with a close-knit team? Then we’d love to hear from you. At Mountain View Crematoria, we take great pride in providing professional, dignified, and caring service to families and funeral homes across the region. We’re currently looking for a Mortuary Transport Assistant allrounder to join our team and help ensure Mountain View Crematoria’s operations are handled with care and professionalism from the transfer to the end of the cremation process.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assisting with the respectful transfer and handling of the deceased
• Working closely with our mortuary and cremation teams
• Maintaining vehicles and equipment to a high standard
• Supporting the day-to-day operations of the crematorium
• Assisting with cremator operations

What We’re Looking For

• A compassionate and reliable team player
• Someone comfortable working in sensitive & professional environments
• A good communicator with strong attention to detail
• A full driver’s licence – and doesn’t mind some time on the road.
• Flexibility for occasional after-hours or weekend work
• Someone with a bit of muscle — the role can be physically demanding at times
• Handy on the tools — you’ll help with minor maintenance tasks and general upkeep

• Know your way around machine operations
