Job summary

Luxoft Financial Services Australia Branch seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design and implement cloud-based data pipelines in AWS. You will work with SQL, data warehouses, and modern data lakehouse concepts while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ETL/ELT, data security governance, and orchestration tools like Airflow, plus exposure to legacy system integration and GitHub workflows.

• 5+ years of experience.

• Knowledge of Kinesis, Aurora, Athena, DMS, DataSync

Responsibilities

• Strong hands-on experience as a Senior Data Engineer in cloud environments, primarily AWS.
• Proficient with SQL and relational databases.
• Design and build ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Integrate legacy systems with modern SaaS or cloud-based platforms.
• Work with cloud data warehouses or lakehouse platforms (e.g. Snowflake).
• Familiar with data lake/lakehouse concepts.
• Use job scheduling/orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow).
• Implement data security, encryption, and governance practices.
• Strong software engineering discipline, including GitHub usage (branching, PRs, code reviews).

• Strong hands-on experience as a Senior Data Engineer in cloud environments, primarily AWS.
• Solid proficiency with SQL and relational and analytical database platforms.
• Proven experience designing and building ETL / ELT data pipelines
• Experience integrating legacy systems with modern SaaS or cloud-based platforms
• Practical experience with cloud data warehouses or lake-style platforms (e.g. Snowflake or equivalent)
• Working knowledge of data lake / lakehouse concepts
• Experience with job scheduling and pipeline orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow, Step Functions or similar)
• Experience implementing data security, encryption, privacy controls and governance practices
• Strong software engineering discipline, including GitHub usage (branching, pull requests, code reviews)
