Base pay range

A$43.00/hr - A$45.00/hr

Are you a qualified mechanic looking for your next step? Our client, a global leader in packaging and resource recovery, are currently seeking an experienced Mobile Technician to join their team and carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs across multiple key sites in Melbourne.

The Role

As the Mobile Technician, you'll report directly to the Workshop Manager and play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly across all equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair a variety of mobile equipment including Forklifts, Scissor Lifts and Loaders.
• Respond to breakdowns across multiple sites including Epping, Somerton, Reservoir, Springvale, Laverton, Banyule & Truganina, providing timely and effective repairs.
• Attend breakdowns and complete diagnostic and fault-finding work.
• Carry out hydraulic repairs, minor welding, and basic electrical fault rectification.
• Assist with ordering parts, inventory management and job reporting.
• Work both independently and collaboratively with site teams.
• Maintain strong safety standards and comply with all site procedures.

Key Requirements

• Certified Diesel Mechanic or Light Vehicle Mechanic
• Minimum 5 years' mechanical experience - ideally with forklifts, mobile plant or earthmoving equipment.
• Strong diagnostics and fault finding capability.
• Current full driver's licence (essential).
• Forklift licence highly regarded (or willingness to obtain).
• A proactive, safety-focused approach and the ability to work independently and efficiently across multiple locations.
