Job Description

Taking Care Mobile Massage Pty Ltd The massage therapist is a professional who provides massage services to TCMM clients in accordance with acceptable practices. The therapist will work independently to assist clients with pain management via various techniques including manipulating soft tissues of the body.

General:

• Liaise with support office regularly regarding shifts and client bookings
• Work in accordance with rostered bookings and agreed availability
• Attend client appointments promptly and professionally
• Provide quality massage services with effective communication
• Communicate with the support office for assistance
• Complete necessary forms and appointment notes
• Wear appropriate attire at all times, including TCMM branded polo t-shirt, black/blue pants and covered in shoes at all appointments Client Massage Service Provision:
• Carry out interview with patients to gather valuable medical information and complete Health forms as required
• Provide approved Remedial massage treatments as per the Department of Health Home Care Package guidelines i.e. no Reiki, cupping, Bowen, dry needling, cupping, aromatherapy, reflexology or spiritual healing.

• Discuss with clients about their medical problems and histories with pain and stress to determine how the massage will be most helpful
• Have and maintain medical and treatment records
• Assess clients’ muscle strength, joint quality and function, soft tissue condition, and range of motion
• Create, suggest or follow treatment plans for client wellbeing
• Professionally refer clients to other specialized therapists when the need arises
• Following up with clients regularly to assess and ensure their satisfaction.

Administration:

• Ensure all new and existing clients have a complete OHS form
• Upload all health forms to client files
• Ensure any client feedback is uploaded into the client profile General
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by the Clinical Services Integration Manager from time to time;
• Contribute to the achievement of the TCMM strategy through participation in special initiatives and programs;
• Build the skills and capabilities of self and others;
• Comply with TCMM policies and procedures at all times;
• Demonstrate behaviours in accordance with TCMM’s core values of Commitment, Respect, Service, Trust and Care.

Qualification & experience Qualifications/Licenses/Memberships

• Diploma of Remedial Massage issued by an RTO under the AQF framework.
• Valid member of either MMA or AMT.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.

• Current police check, insurance, First Aid and appropriate vaccinations
• Minimum two days availability from 9am to 5pm Personal characteristics
• Have a passion for health and well-being
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be dedicated to clients wellbeing
• Be a good listener and people person
• Have good organisational and leadership skills
• Must be a flexible, team player Knowledge & Experience
• Specialist experience in massage therapy (within the 65+ age group highly regarded)
• Proven track record in a similar role
