Job summary

AGA - Apprenticeships Plus in Laverton North, VIC invites 2nd to 4th year Mobile Plant Technology apprentices. You’ll gain hands‑on experience maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing heavy equipment under experienced tradespeople.

The four‑year program lets you earn while you learn, complete a nationally recognised Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, and join a supportive team with mentoring and on‑the‑job training. Role is Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Must hold a driver’s license and have reliable vehicle access.
• Willing to attend RTO/TAFE training for the trade.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency required.
• Interest in heavy machinery and earthmoving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Learn by doing: servicing, repairs and maintenance of mobile plant equipment.
• Assist in diagnosing faults across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Document maintenance work and stay updated with industry developments.
• Work with the team to deliver high‑quality service outcomes.
• Maintain professionalism with customers and stakeholders.

What You Will Do

• Participate in ongoing training and stay up to date with industry developments and technology
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver high‑quality service outcomes
• Maintain a professional approach when interacting with customers and stakeholders
• Develop practical skills in the operation, maintenance, and servicing of heavy machinery and equipment
