Job summary

Lincom Group in Ballarat is seeking an experienced Field Service Mechanic or Diesel Fitter to service and repair mobile plant and materials processing equipment across customer sites and our Ballarat workshop. You will diagnose faults, remove and replace major components, complete pre-delivery inspections, and document service reports, with training and strong local and national support.

A trade qualification and experience with heavy mobile plant are required; crushing and screening equipment

Qualifications

• A relevant trade qualification such as Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or Diesel/Plant Mechanic.
• Experience servicing and repairing heavy mobile plant or similar equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to work independently at customer sites and in a workshop team.
• Commitment to safety and clear communication with customers.
• Experience with crushing and screening equipment is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair mobile plant and materials processing equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Attend scheduled service work and breakdowns at customer sites.
• Remove and replace major components.
• Complete pre-delivery inspections, machine preparation and commissioning.
• Carry out workshop repairs when required.
• Complete accurate service reports and job documentation.
