Job summary

Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd. is seeking an experienced Hydraulic Hose Technician to join our team in Toowoomba, operating a mobile hose van to provide expert hydraulic hose manufacturing, assembly and installation services.

You will support customers, manufacture hose assemblies to CAT specifications, and ensure safe, high-quality service with on-call breakdown support and timely administration.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications in a mechanical or technical field.
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics is desirable.
• MR Driver's Licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and liaise with customers to meet hose and parts requirements.
• Manufacture and assemble fluid hoses to Caterpillar specifications and quality standards.
• Safely remove and install hose assemblies from equipment.
• Process requests and purchase orders for breakdown and scheduled maintenance.
• Attend customer breakdowns on an on-call basis.
• Maintain hose van and report defects promptly.
• Follow Caterpillar contamination control procedures and quality requirements.
• Complete timecards, quotations, paperwork and invoicing accurately.
• Develop collaborative relationships with customers and teammates.
