Job summary

BHP is seeking a Mobile Fleet Tool Store Assistant at Olympic Dam on a 7/7 roster, with residential, FIFO from Adelaide, or DIDO options. You will support Mobile Fleet Maintenance with tool store services and contribute to safe, efficient operation.

Key duties include managing tooling, stock control, and processing purchase requests, while adhering to site safety and quality standards. The role offers growth within a large minerals business and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Experience in tool store or workshop environment is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of tooling, mechanical equipment and consumables.
• Ability to use email and basic MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day tooling requirements for maintenance teams.
• Conduct stocktakes of tools and consumables, ensuring accurate levels.
• Complete PRs and POs for repairable tooling, consumables and replacements.
• Track and manage repairable tooling, including offsite repairs and returns.
• Utilise the MOTS system for issuing tools and inventory tracking.
• Maintain tool store organisation, cleanliness and compliance.
• Request supplier quotes, follow up pricing and procurement communications.
• Support workshop duties and assist trades and equipment handling.
• Assist with receival of deliveries, storage, and updating internal systems.
• Ensure all activities meet site safety and procedural requirements.
• Work independently to keep the tool store running efficiently.
