ASMS is seeking a Mobile Equipment Washer for the Stores & Workshop area at Port Kembla to support cleaning of heavy plant and general workshop housekeeping. The role ensures safe, efficient operations and compliance with safety standards.

You will use high-pressure washers and chemicals per SDS, keep wash bay and stores tidy, and assist other workshop staff with housekeeping tasks as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Clean heavy mobile equipment including loaders, dump trucks, pot carriers, trailers and light vehicles.
• Safely operate high-pressure washing and cleaning equipment.
• Remove dirt, grease, mud and debris from exteriors, undercarriages and cabins.
• Use cleaning chemicals in accordance with SDS and company procedures.
• Maintain wash bay facilities and equipment in a clean, safe condition.
• Conduct basic visual inspections and report damage or maintenance concerns.
• Assist with cleaning and organising workbenches, tools, equipment and storage areas.
• Collect, segregate and dispose of waste and used consumables as per site procedures.
• Maintain stores, shelving and storage areas in a clean, orderly condition.

Mobile Equipment Washer - Stores & Workshop Housekeeping

The Mobile Equipment Washer is responsible for the effective cleaning and presentation of mobile plant and associated equipment, together with general housekeeping of workshop facilities and stores areas. The role supports safe, organised and efficient operations in accordance with company safety, environmental and housekeeping standards.

Clean heavy mobile equipment, including loaders, dump trucks, pot carriers, trailers and light vehicles.

Safely operate high-pressure washing and associated cleaning equipment.

Remove dirt, grease, mud and debris from exteriors, undercarriages, trays and cabins.

Use cleaning chemicals in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company procedures.

Maintain wash bay facilities and equipment in a clean, safe and serviceable condition.

Conduct basic visual inspections and report damage, defects or maintenance concerns.

Assist workshop staff to maintain workshop facilities, maintenance bays and surrounding work areas in a clean, orderly and safe condition.

Assist with cleaning and organising workbenches, tools, equipment and storage areas.

Collect, segregate and dispose of waste, scrap and used consumables in accordance with site procedures.

Stores Housekeeping and Support

Maintain stores, shelving, storage racks and surrounding areas in a clean, orderly and safe condition.

Assist with receiving, unpacking, sorting and storing parts, materials and consumables.

Store items safely in designated locations and maintain clear walkways and handling areas.

Remove damaged packaging and redundant materials using approved disposal practices.

Compliance Safety and Environmental

Comply with company policies, procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.

Follow safe work procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Manage wastewater, chemicals, oils and waste in accordance with environmental requirements.

Identify and report spills, hazards, incidents and unsafe conditions promptly.

Participate in workshop safety and continuous improvement activities.

Position Requirements

Forklift licence desirable where forklift operation is required.

Physical capability to undertake cleaning and housekeeping tasks.

Attention to detail, safe work practices and ability to follow instructions.

Willingness to support mobile equipment cleaning, workshop housekeeping and stores activities as required.
