Job summary

Feros Care is seeking an Aged Care Community Support Worker (Qualified) to travel across Byron Bay, Ballina, Lismore and surrounding areas, providing person-centred care in clients' homes. The role is casual or permanent part-time up to 40 hours per fortnight with additional hours after probation.

You will support older Australians to live independently, with domestic assistance, meal prep, mobility support and companionship.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's licence, reliable and insured vehicle, and a willingness to travel up to 45-60 minutes across your local community.
• Experience supporting older adults to live independently and confidently in their own homes.
• Australian working rights, and ability to complete a Nationally Coordinated Police Check.
• COVID-19 vaccinations (highly desirable).

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful connections with clients through companionship and person-centred care, providing personal care, meal preparation, mobility support and everyday assistance to help maintain wellbeing, dignity, independence and quality of life.
• Help keep clients' homes clean, safe and comfortable by providing domestic assistance including cleaning and laundry.
• Travel across the region to support clients in their homes, including 2-3 domestic cleans each day.
