Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Mission Software Solutions team in VIC/ACT. The role is on-site in a secure environment and requires Australian citizenship with an active TSPV clearance.

You’ll contribute across the software development lifecycle, applying engineering principles to design, develop, test, integrate and deploy high-quality software. Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve customer goals.

Qualifications

• Experience designing software for defence or government systems is desirable.
• Experience with Sc DevOps and secure software practices.
• Ability to work in secure environments and adhere to all compliance requirements.
• Proven track record in delivering high-quality software.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative software solutions to complex problems.
• Participate in and lead agile story development and estimation.
• Contribute to Continuous Integration and automation.
• Integrate and deploy complex systems using SecDevOps practices.
• Undertake web-focused User Interface development and User Experience evolution.
• Research, prototype, investigate and develop technologies and systems.
• Apply solid software engineering principles, coding standards and secure development practices.
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests and contribute to test automation.
• Investigate defects, undertake root-cause analysis and implement effective fixes.
• Produce and maintain clear technical documentation.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and customer stakeholders to deliver shared objectives.
