Job summary

Parks Victoria seeks an experienced operational professional to lead the safe coordination of statewide aerial land management programs across Victoria. The role focuses on coordinating aircraft, personnel, contractors and resources to deliver conservation outcomes within aviation and governance requirements.

You will act as Mission Commander for aerial shooting programs, ensuring safe, efficient delivery and continuous improvement of procedures and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerial land management or related fields is essential.
• Strong planning, coordination and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
• Demonstrated leadership in safety, governance and compliance frameworks.
• Experience coordinating multi-agency programs or emergency preparedness initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate statewide aerial land management and shooting activities within established frameworks.
• Act as Mission Commander under Aerial Shooting Procedure PRO-715.
• Manage aircraft, personnel, contractors, equipment and resources.
• Oversee planning, risk management, budgets and field delivery.
• Provide technical advice to support aerial shooting and conservation programs.
• Develop procedures, reports and training materials for program delivery.
• Build relationships with regional teams, government agencies and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with aviation, firearms, safety, governance requirements.
