Civeo Australia is seeking a responsible Bus Driver to operate a 12-seat vehicle, transporting staff between mining villages and operational sites. The role emphasizes safety, professionalism, and vehicle care, with responsibilities including daily safety checks, logs, and incident reporting.

The position requires a valid LR or higher license, site induction, and the ability to work independently in remote mining environments.

Competenze

• Valid and unrestricted LR or higher license required.
• Current Driver Accreditation or Passenger Transport Driver Authorization desirable.
• First Aid Certificate desirable.
• Site induction and fatigue management training required upon hire.
• Previous mining/remote operations experience preferred.
• Safe vehicle operation in varied terrain/weather.
• Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work independently.

Mansioni

• Ensure the safe and timely transport of site personnel between designated locations.
• Liaise with managers about duties outside of bus driving.
• Assist passengers with boarding, luggage, and special requirements.
• Maintain accurate logs of trips, passenger counts, and fuel usage.
• Adhere to road safety regulations and site transport protocols.
• Coordinate with site logistics to fulfill short-haul transport requests.
• Execute scheduled and ad-hoc errands, including delivery of equipment or supplies.
• Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle.
• Monitor and report incidents, delays, or hazards during transit.
• Follow fatigue management guidelines and report concerns to supervisors.
• Use radios and apps to stay updated on route changes/site alerts.
• Support emergency response and evacuation transport when required.
• Track and report fuel usage and vehicle expenses.
• Plan efficient routes to minimize fuel/time.
• Conduct Daily Pre-Start Safety Checks; inspect brakes, lights, tires, safety gear.
• Report Hazards and Incidents promptly; assist in emergencies.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefs.

Formazione

Light Rigid (LR) license or higher

Driver Accreditation or Passenger Transport Driver Authorization (Desirable)

First Aid Certificate (Desirable)

Site induction and fatigue management training (Required upon hire)

Mining or remote operations experience (Preferred)

Ability to operate vehicles safely in varied terrain and weather
