Job summary

Mineset Recruitment is seeking an experienced Safety Adviser in a regional NSW mining operation to promote a proactive safety culture and support safe, compliant work practices.

The role involves risk management, inspections, auditing, incident investigations and continuous safety improvements across the operation. A permanent residential position with relocation support is available, with an interim FIFO contract as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' mining experience.
• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of mining WHS legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in risk assessments, inspections and safety auditing.
• Experience supporting incident investigations; ICAM experience highly regarded.
• Understanding of critical risk management and critical control verification.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with operational teams and supervisors.
• Competent with Microsoft Office and safety management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk assessments and safety inspections across operations.
• Conduct safety audits and critical control verification.
• Investigate incidents and support ICAM processes.
• Collaborate with operational leaders to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Contribute to ongoing safety improvements across the site.
