Job summary

Glencore Australia invites an experienced Mechanical Drill Fitter to join the Rolleston Open Cut Field Maintenance team in Central Queensland. You will perform mechanical maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and ensure work meets trade standards and safety targets.

The role requires 3+ years post-trade mining experience, experience on 600t class excavators and mining drills, and SAP familiarity with SIS for hydraulic schematics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years post-trade experience in a mining environment.
• Experience on 600t class excavators and mining drills.
• Able to work autonomously and in a team.
• Experience in open-cut coal mining preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical maintenance and services.
• Troubleshoot and locate/solve unplanned breakdowns promptly.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Ensure work meets trade standards, following plan/specs and availability targets.
• Maintain onsite maintenance systems and data integrity.
• Liaise with key personnel for improvements.
• Identify, assess and control workplace hazards.
