Job summary

Thiess is seeking a Field Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our Maintenance Team on a 14/7 roster in Western Australia. You will work across a varied fleet, servicing and repairing machinery to high standards and supporting safe operations on site.

The role requires a trade qualification in heavy diesel fitting, 2+ years mining/Heavy Earth Moving experience, and a proactive approach to safety and maintenance. A HR licence is desirable and full camp facilities are provided.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years post-trade experience in mining or heavy earthmoving.
• Experience in servicing CAT/Hitachi fleet and related equipment.
• HR licence is desirable.
• Proven commitment to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing, repair and maintenance of mobile fleet in line with Thiess documentation.
• Carry out general maintenance, breakdowns, services and component changes to high standards.
• Source technical information from manuals, bulletins and OEM systems.
• Maintain high housekeeping and complete pre-start checks.
