Job summary

North Queensland Hardfacing Pty Ltd is seeking a trade qualified Boilermaker to join the onsite team on a casual basis with potential for full-time for the right candidate. The role involves heavy fabrication, repairs, and maintenance close to Townsville, QLD, with day and night shifts and periods away from home as required.

You will be part of a skilled team delivering high‑quality fabrication services across mining equipment and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator.
• Experience in heavy fabrication, repairs, and maintenance.
• Willingness to spend periods away from home for site work.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy fabrication, repairs and maintenance to mining equipment and infrastructure.
• Carry out maintenance and shutdown work to required standards and timeframes.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings and specifications accurately.
• Work effectively as part of a team, following direction from supervisors and leading others when required.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and site requirements.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
