Job summary

BTP is seeking an experienced Spray Painter to join the Hazelmere Workshop in a permanent, full-time capacity in Western Australia. You will prepare, paint and finish mining equipment components to exact specifications, while maintaining a safe, organized workplace and mentoring apprentices.

Ideal candidates bring strong detail orientation, current forklift and rigging licences, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a high-performing workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Spray Painter in an industrial, mining, heavy equipment or related environment.
• Forklift Licence (essential)
• Rigging Licence (essential)
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes

Responsibilities

• Prepare, paint and finish mining equipment components and machinery
• Apply coatings to company and customer specifications
• Work safely and efficiently to meet project deadlines
• Maintain and care for spray-painting equipment and tools
• Complete quality checks and ensure a high standard of workmanship
• Assist with mentoring and coaching apprentices
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment
• Complete required documentation and reporting accurately
• Contribute to a positive team culture and safety-first environment
