Job summary
Glencore Australia invites applications for a Mining Engineer at Mt Owen/Glendell Operations (MGO) in the Technical Services Team. You will contribute to either Short-Term Planning or Drill and Blast, translating technical plans into practical outcomes within a collaborative environment.
Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, you will help design truck and excavator schedules for short-term planning or support planning, design, and execution of drill and blast activities across the operation,
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mining/Civil or related field)
- Proficient with Mine design and Scheduling packages (Vulcan, Deswik, Spry)
- Minimum two years' relevant experience (desirable)
- Ability to communicate across various levels of the organisation
- Self-motivated and forward-thinking team member
- Committed to safety and continuous improvement
Responsibilities
- Collaborate and translate technical plans into practical outcomes.
- Create Truck & Excavator designs and schedules for short-term planning.
- Support planning, design and execution of drill and blast activities across the operation (Drill and Blast).
