Job summary

Glencore's United Wambo Joint Venture is seeking a Mining Engineer to develop and communicate mine plans, engage with stakeholders, and drive improvements at the UWJV mine site in the Hunter Valley, NSW. The role reports to the Senior Mining Engineer and operates on a Monday to Friday residential roster.

Ideal candidates will have open-cut coal planning experience, a mining engineering qualification, and proficiency with Spry, Vulcan, Deswik, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Experience in open-cut mine planning and coal experience.
• Tertiary qualification in mining engineering or similar discipline.
• Sound knowledge of truck & excavator fleets and haulage optimisation.
• Competent in mine planning software (Spry, Vulcan, Deswik) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Developing and communicating mine plans to support strategic targets.
• Interacting with stakeholders to ensure plan deliverability and compliance.
• Identify barriers to achieving mine plans and implement improvement strategies.
