MINERAL RESOURCES LIMITED is seeking a highly motivated Mining Engineer to join our Bald Hill team on an 8D6X roster. Reporting to the Superintendent Technical Services, you will support our operational team with site mine engineering, technical services, and the preparation and delivery of mining plans.

You will contribute to mine design, planning, and compliance through D&B designs, load/tie-in plans, post-blast analysis, and heritage packs, while driving process improvements and coordinating

Formación

• High degree of communication and analytical skills and strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or related disciplines.
• Unrestricted Quarry Manager’s ticket (preferred)
• Competency with Vulcan, Alastri APS, ShotPlus or similar software.

Responsabilidades

• Support mine design including pit, waste dump staging and modification, other infrastructure design.
• Deliver D&B designs, load plans, tie-in plans, post blast analysis & heritage packs.
• Provide technical contribution to development and submission of operational licenses and approvals processes.
• Act as the primary owner of process and practice improvement between the mine planning and operations team.
• Deliver two week and monthly mine plans including planning inputs, stakeholder engagement, and summaries of physicals, outputs and future requirements.
• Provide project management support to small/medium scale projects.
• Proactively identify risks and opportunities within short-term and tactical planning horizons, including deep-dives to support management decisions.

The Opportunity

Our team are currently seeking a highly motivated Mining Engineer to join our Bald Hill team on an 8D6X roster.

Reporting to the Superintendent Technical Services, your primary responsibility will be to support our operational team in a dynamic work environment which requires you to roll up your sleeves and think on your feet. You will be accountable for site mine engineering and technical services, operational and mine reconciliation reports and the preparation and delivery of mining plans.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting mine design including pit, waste dump staging and modification, other infrastructure design.
• Delivering D&B designs, load plans, tie-in plans, post blast analysis & heritage packs.
• Providing technical contribution to the development and submission of operational licenses and approvals processes
• Acting as the primary owner of process and practice improvement between the mine planning and operations team
• Delivering the two week & monthly mine plans including development of planning inputs, stakeholder engagement, and summaries of physicals, outputs and future requirements.
• Providing project management support to small/medium scale projects
• Proactively identify risks and opportunities within the short‑term and tactical planning horizons, including relevant deep‑dives to support management decisions.

What is Required

• Established experience within mine operations in the resources industry preferably in hard rock
• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or related disciplines
• Unrestricted Quarry Manager’s ticket (preferred)
• Competency with major recognized mining design and scheduling software such as Vulcan, Alastri APS, ShotPlus or similar
• High degree of communication and analytical skills and strong organisational and problem-solving abilities

Bald Hill is located 170km south-east of Kalgoorlie in the Goldfields region of Western Australia. The operation is a hard-rock lithium mine, with MinRes managing all mining activities on site, including a spodumene concentrate processing plant with an annual production capacity of 100,000 tonnes (SC6 equivalent).
