Job summary

MSS Security in Moranbah, QLD, is seeking a Medical and Rescue Emergency Response professional to join the site emergency response team. You will provide first response to incidents and support training and HSE activities in a mining environment, leveraging your paramedic or nurse qualifications.

This FIFO role on a 7 on/7 off roster involves day/night rotations and requires Coal Board Medical, immunisations, and the ability to operate breathing apparatus and handle hazardous materials, fires,

Qualifications

• Coal Board Medical with Rescue Imms (Tetanus, Hep A&B)
• Open Class Drivers Licence (C)
• First-response medical and rescue readiness in mining environments
• Ability to operate breathing apparatus in incident scenes
• Identify, detect and monitor hazardous materials at incidents
• Render hazardous materials incidents safe and manage rescue operations
• Undertake road crash and vertical rescue operations
• Respond to local emergencies and incidents as part of a site team

Responsibilities

• Provide medical first response to emergencies and injuries.
• Manage trauma and workplace incident responses.
• Handle cardiac or respiratory emergencies and coordinate with external services.
• Respond to vehicle and machinery incidents, fires, and other site emergencies.
• Coordinate rescue operations including confined space or working at heights.
• Manage hazardous materials incidents and evacuations as required.
• Provide treatment on site and liaise with external emergency services.
