Job summary

Palaris, based in Perth, seeks a Mine Economics and Financial Modelling Analyst to join our advisory team. The role blends investment analysis with mining operations, focusing on economic modelling, valuation and asset-level investment decisions.

You will lead economic models across full asset lifecycles, incorporating geology, mine planning and processing costs, and prepare investment‑ready reports for lenders, investors, and mining companies.

Qualifications

Degree in Finance/Economics or Commerce.
Financial experience in the mining sector.
Advanced financial modelling skills and Excel proficiency.
Excellent reporting and presentation skills.
Demonstrated analytical ability to build and interrogate economic models.
Your investment perspective will add depth to the team.

Responsibilities

Lead economic and financial modelling across full asset lifecycles.
Build and interrogate economic models integrating geology, mine planning, processing and cost assumptions.
Assess project economics, commodity sensitivities and capital structures.
Integrate technical inputs into valuations and investment cases.
Support investment and transaction processes from early screening through to negotiation and decision.
Prepare clear, investment-ready reports and recommendations.
Contribute to investment decision frameworks and technical due diligence for lenders, investors and mining companies.
