Job summary

Northern Star Resources invites Mine Surveyors to join our teams at Jundee, Thunderbox and Carosue Dam on a family-friendly 8/6 roster FIFO from Perth. You’ll support underground and surface mining operations, surveying drill holes, developing survey plans and ensuring accurate plans for safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years relevant experience, including within an underground mining operation.
• Experience using Deswik CAD and MDM.
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Surveying and WA C Class manual licence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee survey marks for drill and blast rings, mine heading development and related surveys.
• Provide survey control for all mining activities and related planning.
• Assist with survey plans, including instructions for horizontal/vertical development.
• Survey end-of-month development, ore stockpiles, stope surveys and surface works when required.

Northern Star Resources has multiple opportunities for motivated and ambitious Mine Surveyors to join our teams at Jundee, Thunderbox and Carosue Dam, with all positions offering a family friendly 8/6 roster FIFO from Perth.

This is your opportunity to play a key role in supporting our underground and surface mining operations, working alongside experienced teams to keep our mines moving safely and efficiently. From surveying designed drill holes and completed works to preparing accurate survey plans, you’ll contribute to the success of our operations while developing your career with one of Australia’s leading gold producers.

What you can look forward to:

• Oversee the survey marks out of drill and blast rings, mine heading development, exploration drilling and raise bore drilling.
• Survey control for all related mining activities.
• Assist with survey plans including survey instructions (horizontal and vertical development), end of month surveys, dig permits and emergency response plans.
• Survey of end of month development and ore stockpiles, stope surveys, heading development, geological mapping and surface works when required.

Where you’ll add value:

• 1-2 years relevant experience, including within an underground mining operation.
• Demonstrated experience using Deswik CAD & MDM.
• A natural leader with a history of managing large teams, keeping them engaged, motivated, and results-focused.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Surveying.
• WA C Class Manual Drivers Licence.
