Job summary

Northern Star Resources is seeking a Geology Superintendent to join the Growth team at Kalgoorlie Operations. Reporting to the Geology Manager, you will lead and de-risk life-of-asset plans with high-quality geology, accurate modelling and cost management.

In this residential Kalgoorlie role, you will guide the growth team around Kanowna Belle, South Kalgoorlie and Hercules deposits, operating on a 5/2 4/3 10-hour roster.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' geological experience in mining, gold focus preferred, with at least 6 years in supervisory capacity.
• Strong leadership capability with proven ability to develop and mentor a high-performing team.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills for employees, management, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to build trust across the organisation.
• Proficiency in MS Office and geological software (Leapfrog, Datamine, ArcGIS).
• Experience with resource modelling and estimation and strong technical writing skills.
• Commitment to best industry practice in geological and environmental tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead, grow and de-risk life-of-asset plans with high-quality geology and modelling.
• Oversee cost management and strategic prioritisation for the Kalgoorlie operation.
• Provide leadership to the growth team across Kanowna Belle, South Kalgoorlie and Hercules deposits.

We are looking for a Geology Superintendent to join our Growth team at Kalgoorlie Operations.

Reporting to the Geology Manager you will lead, grow and de-risk the life of asset plans, through high-quality geology, accurate geological modelling, cost management and strategic prioritisation.

Working a 5/2 4/3 10-hour day roster in this residential Kalgoorlie role the successful incumbent will provide leadership and guidance to the growth team. In and around the Kanowna belle, South Kalgoorlie and Hercules deposits.

Where you’ll add value:

• Awareness of Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations

Qualifications :

• A degree in Geology, preferably with Honours, from a recognised tertiary institution
• Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
• Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022 (WHSMR) Schedule 26 3(2)
