Job summary

FGI Developments seeks an experienced Health, Safety, Environment Training and Compliance (HSETC) Manager for a predominantly site-based role in Northwest Queensland, with travel to Cairns. You will establish and manage the site’s HSEC systems, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a strong HSETC culture across operations.

Lead the HSETC function, develop documentation, and mentor a team while coordinating with staff, contractors and stakeholders to maintain high safety and environmental

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and team-building skills required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to develop health and wellbeing programs.
• Comprehensive understanding of mine-site HSETC compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site’s HSETC function and compliance requirements.
• Establish and maintain mine-site HSETC documentation and systems.
• Ensure compliance with State Acts, Regulations and mining requirements.
• Support mine start-up and ongoing HSETC needs.
• Develop health programs for staff wellbeing.
• Lead and develop the HSETC team.
• Monitor performance and report to management.
• Collaborate with contractors and stakeholders to uphold standards.
• Promote safety, environmental and compliance culture onsite.
