Job summary

Workfast is seeking Mine Site Cleaners to support an operational mining site in the Bowen Basin. This site-based role covers cleaning accommodation blocks, offices, amenities and common areas, with day and night shifts.

You will perform kitchen hand tasks, operate cleaning equipment, and uphold hygiene and safety standards while working with a team of cleaners and catering staff. The company offers a labour-hire environment with compliance to Australian Fair Work standards and opportunities

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or kitchen hand experience (mine site or similar environment preferred).
• Ability to work on an 8/6 roster in a remote location.
• High attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
• Strong commitment to safety and following site protocols.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mine site cleaning duties, including accommodation blocks, offices, amenities, and common areas.
• Perform kitchen hand tasks such as assisting with food preparation, dishwashing, and maintaining clean dining facilities.
• Operate cleaning equipment and safely handle chemicals in accordance with site procedures.
• Ensure all cleaning and kitchen areas meet hygiene and safety standards.
• Work effectively with other cleaning and catering staff to maintain a high level of service.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly to supervisors.

• 8/6 roster – 8 days on, 6 days off
