Job summary

Bravus Mining & Resources in the Townsville region seeks a Mine Planning Engineer to lead short, medium and long-term plans, schedules and production reporting. You will work with geology, survey and drill & blast teams to optimise outcomes and ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role features an 8 days on, 6 days off roster, exposure to large-scale open-cut coal operations, and opportunities for career development in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mining preferred, Civil engineering considered).
• Open-cut coal mining experience.
• Strong mine planning and scheduling capability.
• Experience with Vulcan, Deswik, Spry or similar software.
• Current Standard 11 and Queensland Coal Board Medical (or ability to obtain).
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop short, medium and long-term mine plans and schedules.
• Prepare mine designs and monitor adherence to plan.
• Provide technical advice and support to mine operations.
• Analyse mining methods and equipment performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Generate production reports and support progress claim reporting.
• Collaborate with operational stakeholders to ensure practical and achievable mine plans.
• Work with geology, survey and drill & blast teams to optimise mine outcomes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
• Promote and demonstrate strong safety leadership and compliance with site standards.
