Job summary

EPSA Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Australian operation at the Callide Mine in Biloela, Queensland. The role is full-time with a 38-hour Monday-to-Friday roster and flexible working arrangements.

Responsibilities include managing mechanical components, spare parts, reliability analysis, and maintenance strategies to ensure asset availability. You will lead root-cause investigations and drive engineering improvements across a mining environment.

Qualifications

• Tertiary Qualifications in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an engineering role.
• Mining project experience including materials handling and process plants.
• Understanding of hydraulic calculations and pumping systems (water as minimum and slurry preferred).
• Proficiency in interpreting process documentation including P&ID’s, PFD’s and Process Design Criteria.
• Ability to understand mechanical documentation such as design drawings and vendor IOMs.

Responsibilities

• Manage the engineering control and technical availability of critical mechanical components to support preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Oversee the technical management of maintenance support assets and critical spare components.
• Analyse maintenance requirements, equipment life-cycle data and reliability trends to determine spare parts requirements and maintenance strategies.
• Establish technical spare parts requirements based on reliability analysis and maintenance schedules.
• Define technical specifications and engineering requirements for mechanical components and spare parts.
• Provide technical oversight for the selection and acquisition of mechanical components.
