Following our recent capital raise, we are fully funded and in a strong position as we progress through production ramp-up at our flagship Kathleen Valley Lithium Operation. With a 20+-year mine life, state-of-the-art processing facilities, and a passionate team, we are set to become one of the world’s largest and most sustainable hard rock lithium operations.

The Opportunity

We are now looking for a Mine Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing Underground Technical Services team, working in a team of three geotechnical engineers and supported by a Geotechnical Superintendent.

This role is integral to ensuring the geotechnical stability, safety, and efficiency of our underground operation. You’ll contribute to short and medium-term mine planning, ground support design, and geotechnical risk management while working closely with the wider Technical Services and Production teams.

What you’ll be doing

This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated professional who is looking to broaden their underground geotechnical experience in a fast-paced growth environment.

  • Undertake geotechnical monitoring, data collection, and analysis to ensure ground stability and mine safety.
  • Provide input into ground support design and mine development standards.
  • Conduct geotechnical hazard assessments and support critical risk management processes.
  • Collaborate with mine planning engineers to integrate geotechnical considerations into designs and schedules.
  • Prepare reports, recommendations, and geotechnical models to support decision-making.
  • Assist in the implementation of ground control systems and standards across the operation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Technical Services team.
What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a professional who is motivated by the opportunity to step into a critical leadership role with future career progression. You’ll bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Geotechnical, Mining or Civil Engineering, or Engineering Geology.
  • Previous geotechnical engineering experience in underground hard rock mining - open to engineers with 1-2 years post-graduate experience or new graduates with substantial vacation/placement experience.
  • Strong understanding of ground support principles, geotechnical monitoring methods, and risk assessment frameworks.
  • Proficiency in software such as Deswik, FLAC3D, Map3D, or similar.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
